 A Song of Faith

When I'm feeling lost and alone
I look to the heavens and I know
That You are there with me
Guiding me through the darkness

(Chorus)
Faith is what keeps me going
When all hope seems lost
Faith is what gives me strength
To carry on

When I'm feeling scared and afraid
I know that You are with me
Protecting me from harm
Holding me close in Your arms

(Bridge)
I know that You are always there
Even when I can't see You
You are always with me
And I will never be alone

(Chorus)
Faith is what keeps me going
When all hope seems lost
Faith is what gives me strength
To carry on

(Outro)
I have faith in You
And I know that You will never leave me
You are my strength and my hope
And I will always believe in You

A Simple Life

Living a simple life has been a conscious decision my husband and I have made. It's just the two of us, and we've found joy in spending time together, tending to our small garden, and taking a 5-minute walk to the beach.

I work as a content writer and virtual assistant, and I usually work at night and sleep during the day. It's not the typical schedule, but it works for me. My husband takes care of the garden, and it's always a delight to see the fruits of his labor. We grow our own vegetables and herbs, which not only saves us money but also provides us with fresh and healthy food.

Living simply means being content with what we have and creating our own happiness. We don't need to have the latest gadgets or buy expensive things to be happy. We find joy in the little things, like watching the sunset on the beach, having a home-cooked meal, or reading a good book.

Our simple life has also taught us to be mindful of our expenses. We prioritize our needs over our wants and always look for ways to save money. We buy only what we need, and we try to avoid impulse purchases. We find satisfaction in being able to live within our means.

Living simply has also allowed us to focus on what truly matters - our relationship, our health, and our happiness. We have time to nurture our relationship and take care of ourselves. We prioritize our health by eating nutritious food and staying active. We find happiness in the simple things, and that's more than enough for us.

In a world that's always pushing for more, we choose to live a simple life, and it has brought us nothing but joy and contentment. We may not have all the things that others have, but we have each other, a small garden, and a 5-minute walk to the beach. And for us, that's more than enough.

Taking risks in business

As I look back on the beginning of this year, I can acknowledge some positive experiences, although the situations I find myself in are not without imperfections. I opted to leave my job and delve into the world of business, which is still in its preliminary and experimental phase. Though this choice has brought about financial, emotional, and physical stress, I am convinced that taking risks is essential in achieving success.

I have learned through the course of this endeavor that:

  • Starting a business involves significant financial, emotional, and physical strains, especially for new entrepreneurs.

  • However, there is no turning back once you begin this journey, and taking action is necessary to make your vision a reality.

  • There are no shortcuts to starting a successful business, but your passion and drive can fuel the dream that started it all.

  • Although there is always the risk of failure, the experience and effort invested in pursuing your dream is worthwhile.

  • Taking risks is an essential aspect of achieving success and realizing your dreams.

  • While the journey may be difficult, it is ultimately rewarding.

  • I am optimistic about the future and will continue to work hard and stay committed to my goals, despite any challenges that may arise.

Of course, there is always the possibility of failure, but the experience itself is worthwhile. Who knows? You might even achieve something substantial in the end. Regardless of the outcome, I'm proud of myself for daring to try something new.

10 August 2012(Friday)

It's been a few days now since we lost our internet connection, but honestly, that's the least of my worries. The heavy downpour of rain has made it impossible for me to work, but I know that compared to what others in Metro Manila are going through, my situation is nothing to complain about. I consider us fortunate to have been spared from the worst of the storm.

As I reflect on the situation, I realize that I have no business complaining about the inconvenience of not having internet or being unable to work. My family is safe, and while a few of them had to be evacuated, they are now in a safe place. I even have a friend who posted pictures of his house flooded half the ground floor, and yet he was happily eating ice cream with his neighbors! It's moments like these that make me proud of the resilience and positive spirit of Filipinos. No matter how difficult the situation, we never let it bring us down.

I know that the current situation may be challenging, but I am determined to fight on. I am grateful for the safety of my family and the support of my friends and neighbors. I am also grateful for the opportunity to reflect on what truly matters and to appreciate the simple things in life, like a warm meal or a comfortable bed. Despite the challenges we face, I know that as long as we have each other and the Filipino spirit, we can overcome anything.

03Aug2012 (Friday) I thought i am an avid fan of Jackie Chan!

03Aug2012 (Friday)

I am positively bursting with excitement! But I sometimes struggle to come up with fresh ideas for my next post, but all that changed when I started thinking about the one and only Jackie Chan.

I've been a huge fan of Jackie for as long as I can remember, and let me tell you, discovering that there are so many of his movies that I haven't seen yet has completely blown my mind! The sheer amount of content out there is just staggering, and I'm beyond thrilled at the thought of delving into more of Jackie's incredible work.

I mean, come on, we're talking about the king of action comedy here! From Snake in the Eagle's Shadow to Drunken Master to Who am I, Jackie has given us some of the most jaw-droppingly awesome performances ever captured on film. And the fact that I haven't seen all of them yet is honestly mind-boggling to me.

But fear not, my fellow Jackie fans, because I am determined to right this wrong! In fact, I'm practically giddy at the thought of watching all of Jackie's movies, and I can't wait to share my thoughts and opinions with all of you on my blog.

So brace yourselves, folks, because this is going to be one wild ride!

01Aug2012(Wednesday) My New Reading Glasses... a sign of old age?

01Aug2012(Wednesday)

I had my reading glasses done today. It was months ago that i started to feel the need for reading glasses because I am already having a hard time reading my daily journal (which was a gift from my daughter).

I already resorted to buying a new Bible with larger fonts because I always end up crying after a verse. Not that I got so emotional about what I've read though! You guessed right.... because there's already stress in reading...

I brought an old Sunglasses that I seldom use now because of all the scratches on the lens... And doing so, i saved around P500 for the frames, and the fact that the frame already fit me to a T! Add up the envy on my daughter's eyes! Not that I wanted her to feel so, it's just that, I felt she liked the glasses on me! And even commented that it looked nice on me...

Guess I have so much catching up to do... since I got to read only until February... I read back up to July 28, as well as the verses on the Bible... I am on track again....

I still am trying to figure out what had caused this sudden blurring of vision. Although I think of a few which might have caused it. In a couple of months I will be turning 40, and this can be cause for one. Another would be because of the fact that I do strain my eyes plucking out unwanted hair on Noel's face (beard and mustache), in the dark using flashlight! Well, he says he can't sleep with lights on...

Well, really, it might be time to accept the fact that I am no longer getting any younger.... A few months back, Ixi got a grey hair on me. First time. Signs are in so I much rather accept the fact.
